My Story
I’m Sue, the creator behind Curly Tail Knits. My life’s path began on stage as a professional violinist, until an injury turned the page and asked me to begin again. In the stillness that followed, I picked up knitting — first as a way to heal, to keep creating with my hands, and to find rhythm in a new form. What started as comfort slowly became a passion.
Curly Tail Knits is named for my sweet pugs, Bear (now running at The Rainbow Bridge) and Winnie, whose curly tails and steady companionship remind me that life’s softest moments are often the most meaningful. With my husband lovingly designing my logo and cheering me on, this endeavor has grown from resilience, reinvention, and a belief that beautiful things can emerge from unexpected change.
Every stitch carries that story. I’m so glad you’re here. Take a look around, stay awhile, and follow along as this next chapter continues to unfold. 💜
